Could you do me a little favor? I’d like you to tell me what comes to mind when you see these things:
the sky
a beach
the woods
a car
a house
a corn field
a cave
the moon
You can answer in a reply, an ask, anything. I’d really like to know what you think of when you see the things I listed. Thanks in advance. :)

[Obama’s] words will be little consolation for 8-year-old Nabila, who, on Oct. 24, had just returned from school and was playing in a field outside her house with her siblings and cousins while her grandmother picked flowers. At 2:30 p.m., a Hellfire missile came out of the sky and struck right in front of Nabila. Her grandmother was badly burned and succumbed to her injuries; Nabila survived with severe burns and shrapnel wounds in her shoulder. Nabila doesn’t know who Mr. Obama is, or where the Hellfire missile that killed her grandmother came from.

The worst part about having ADHD is how embarrassed and childish I feel for having it. It’s often seen as a bunk, overdiagnosed illness (and it is overdiagnosed, but that’s a different story) so it’s already seen with skepticism, but being unable to pay attention to things for longer than a few minutes is truly awful.
I can’t even read an average article online without quickly switching to some new thing. Don’t even get me started on the daunting task of reading books. There are so many books I want to read but I’m at the point where I’m totally resigned to the fact that I’ll never be well read because I simply can’t sit down and read.
Movies and TV shows are similar. I just can’t sit down and stare at a screen unless I’m engaged in something else, and even then I’m not fully paying attention to it. Breaking Bad has been the only show whose story has been interesting and engaging enough to overcome my deficit in attention span. Same with Ip Man and its sequel when it comes to movies. People ask me what movies and TV shows I like and I come up mostly blank.
It’s embarrassing because it makes me feel dumb. I really wish I could just read or watch shows but I just cannot get engaged in anything. The depression and anhedonia certainly don’t help, but even when I’m baseline it’s difficult to even watch a 30 minute episode of a show. It’s awful. It basically makes hobbies impossible to develop.
But I’m working on it.

Positive reinforcement trumps negative reinforcement every time. It’s mind-boggling how so many people don’t know this.

Virtual supermarkets are popping up in subway stations in South Korea, where commuters can virtually shop for items while waiting for the train to come. Customers simply scan an item’s QR code using the free “Homeplus” app and can have it delivered to their doorstep before they even get home. Ranked as the 2nd most hard-working country in the world to Japan, South Korea is rewarding its workers with this timesaving gem.
Wow! I kinda love this idea.
